Medical Cannabis for Headaches

For a lot of people, headaches aren’t just mildly annoying, this can also be super debilitating too, making the idea of doing anything a herculean task! Headaches are common for a lot of people, and these include tension headaches, migraines, along with cluster headaches too.

OTC medications are super common for the treatment of this, but not everyone ill use OTC, but instead, they’ll go for something a bit more natural. There are ways for you to manage this, and you need to make sure that this is something that may work for you.

What are these medicines?

Basically, OTC medications are those that you get from the pharmacy. You pick these up and get them without needing a prescription. They’re usually in gel cap or tablet form, but some are liquid forms, and they’re virtually safe to use so long as you have this working based on what the label says.

Natural remedies are the alternative, also known as herbal remedies, typically from plants which are considered the basis of the traditional medicine.

The biggest difference is OTC are FDA approved, but the traditional and natural remedies are not. They have specific requirements and they do work based on the type of efficacy, and the reality that works for this too.

The most common ones for OTC to be used to tret headaches usually include:

  • Aspirin
  • Tylenol
  • Motrin
  • Advil
  • Aleve

These are all good for providing relief from pain from headaches, but they do some with a series of side effects. For instance, you may want to use aspirin, but it does cause gastrointestinal problems, and heartburn. Ibuprofen also causes issues with the stomach, nausea, vomiting, along with damage to the liver in the long term.

Not to mention, a lot of them cause allergic reactions.

While the FDA does say that they are effective and safe, the risks and the side effects are pretty low, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t there.

Medical Marijuana for Treatments

While the natural treatments include baths, water, and whatnot, one of the most popular means to ensure that your headaches are taken care of, is medical cannabis.

This can include pain and other problems.

Lots of people use cannabis to help with the treatment of both headaches and pain.

Currently, there isn’t a ton of research on this, and a lot are still using this as an alternative, but if you use this for a long period of time, it may reduce the frequency of the aches and it also doesn’t involve the same side effects that current medicines.

The problems ith the current headaches and marijuana is that currently, the legalization for this is a bit messy.

Because it’s still illegal federally, it’s not super easy to obtain, but some still do list it as a chance for you to get a medical cannabis card, so it’s worth considering.

Is it Better?

This is ultimately up for debate.

Medical cannabis does involve choosing the correct strains and the effects that come with this. If you don’t, you’re not going to be happy with this.

Another thing with this too though, is that it does eliminate the need for possibly using medical drugs and OTC medicines to work with this. This can reduce the chances of medical problems down the line, as the side effects that come with this definitely can be a problem.

If you have bad headaches, consider medical cannabis. It can do wonders for you, and it can help with a lot of problems that headaches are associated with, and it can make your life much easier too.

Choosing the right medical cannabis strain

A lot of people are turning to weed as a means to treat different ailments. It’s been legalized for Crohn’s disease, ALS, and even pain that’s there, including MS, Parkinson’s, and seizures, and terminal illnesses too. Medical marijuana can be obtained in the form of tinctures, edibles, and vapes, which is great for a lot of people who want to try different types of weed, and the way it works.

The cannabis world is a bit scary for those using this for the first time, but here, we’ll go over some of the things that you want to consider when choosing the cannabis strain, including other attractive parts of this to consider.  Sativa and indica are the two most common ways for you to have weed. There are hybrids too, which mix the both of them, and you should consider the types of options when you choose to weed too.

The Cannabinoids to choose

There are also cannabinoids that you need to choose as well. Cannabinoids are basically what interact with those receptors and offer different functions. Currently, there have been 66 different cannabinoids that are found, with it being divided into different subclasses. There is cannabigerolic, cannabinol, cannabics homes, cannabidiol, cannabielsoin, cannabicyclol, cannabitriol, and also, THC and CBD that are two of the most common.

Right now, we don’t know much about all of these classes, but for the most part, you’ve got THC along with CBD, and that’s where the lion’s share of cannabinoids are.  There is usually some kind of blend of these two.

THC is the one that’s known for the high that you get, and this is one that works well if you’ve got neuropathic pain, appetite issues, and also nausea too, for these can sometimes help with the different effects that are there.

CBD offers a ton of benefits, and is anti-anxiety, responsible for reducing a lot of the side effects that can happen when you take too much THC, since it can quell anxiety, help with memory loss, and is easier for you to handle.

The terpenes Matter too

Another part of cannabis that’s oftentimes ignored, is terpenes. Terpenes are responsible for the way that the plant smells, whether it’s smelling like a skunk, sweet, or like citrus and diesel, since this is something that cannabis varies in terms of scents.  This is one of the best things that the cannabis plant offers, and it’s usually not paid attention to.

For a lot of strains, they are actually able to develop a personality from the terpenes that are there. But the thing is, terpenes are more than just the first impression smells. They are oils that are definitely helpful for a variety of reasons. If you’ve ever had essential oils, this is what’s responsible for this, and it’s also something that works directly with cannabis, in order to create an entourage effectively. This is a result of the different symbiosis of the different compounds that are there. This is all put together in a harmonic manner, and this produces a ton of different effects.

Right now, the discovery of terpenes isn’t just limited to weed, it’s available in other plants too, and is responsible for aromatherapy. There are tons of different popular types of plants, and variants too that are worth mentioning as well.

With that said, the world of cannabis comes with a wide variety of different parts to this. You should speak with a doctor in order to get you the best strain that you can, and also what strains will work best for you.

How to Get Rid of Weed Smell

It happens to a lot of people. You’re enjoying some cannabis, and then, you start to notice that people are looking at you. they may comment on your smell, and that is obvious.

They know that you’ve been smoking. That skunk scent that happens after you finish smoking a bowl. It’s a nice sensation, but the smell is something that’s hard for a normal person to get rid of, unless they know how to. So how can you get rid of that smell? Here are some good ways to do so.

Take it Outside

If you have a chance to do it, do it outside.  You should make sure that the laws allow you to do this though. This is because, you can set it up so that the wind won’t blow this back, and you also are able to set up a space that’s good for you to smoke without disturbing other people.

If you have cannabis that you enjoy, try to keep this in a container that’s airtight. That way, the only time that it smells is when you pull it out to pack it.

After the Session

So you’ve managed to take that session outside and have also been able to get the smell off of you too. How can you ensure that the extra odors don’t’ follow you back. The first thing is after a session, you should make sure that you wash those hands, getting rid of the residue.  If you’re unable to wash your hands try to use some sort of hand sanitizer to get this off.

Make sure that you also focus on your breath too. Get some fresh mints, or chew some gum, or get the mouthwash to rinse out the mouth.

Finally, if possible, change your clothes and ideally take a shower. If you’re unable to do this, just spray some perfume on there, but don’t overdo it because people don’t like the smell of that.

Getting Smells out of Your room

So how can you make the room not smell like cannabis?

First, you want to make sure that you have some kind of ventilation, or airflow that’s there. crack open a couple of windows, and then, exhale a little bit.  This then causes the smoke to move through the air, instead of just sticking around you and then absorbing into the clothes that you’re wearing.

Fans and air filters are great for airflow, and it can also help to reduce the smoke smell that’s there. you should try to consider kitchen vents if you’re unable to open windows, or you can turn on fans to the top settings.

You’ll also want to use a sploof, otherwise known as a smoke filter. This is made usually from cardboard toilet paper tubes, and some fabric softener sheets.  You inhale, and then, grab the tube and then exhale this.  That way, instead of surrounding the area with this, you are able to inhale the normal scents that are there.

Finally, if you don’t want the place to smell, you can also use incense and candles.  You can definitely find incense that works with the cannabis that you like, offering a better, more rewarding smoke, and one that’s more tolerable for everyone.

The smell of cannabis smoke is not for everyone, and if you’re someone who is interested in prevention of this, then try to use these tips today. That way, you can build a fine smoking experience, improve your cannabis consumption, and not finish the session stinky, which is always a plus for any cannabis user to have.

What a Dry Herb Vaporizer Is

If you’re someone who is familiar with cannabis, you might’ve heard about dry herb vaporizing. What is it? and what’s the benefits of this?  Well, it’s a bit different from a traditional vaporizer, which usually uses cannabis oil, or cannabis concentrates, and the cool thing about this, it does offer some great recreational usages, and also some different advantages too!

What is It?

This is basically a tool that offers the cannabis flower to the point of vaporization, rather than the burning combustion point. So it won’t get as high as a pipe, or even a bong.  There are some types, such as the tabletop ones that you put on a desk or a table, and they usually involve a chamber, an element to heat it, and a mouthpiece that usually helps manage the temperatures within this.

They also have vape pens, which look like a regular vape, and basically, you vaporize the flower using batteries too, and it doesn’t involve a wall plug. It’s great for consuming this while you’re on the go, and you don’t have to roll joints, or even pack bowls.  They do require some cleanup to remove and also take care of the material in there whenever you’re done.

How they work

They usually involve heating this up, using some kinds of constituents that are active, and then making a vapor that’s perfectly inhalable. This is usually the cleaner way to have cannabis when compared to smoking. Since the vaporization is at a lower temperature, this lets you inhale a bit more, and it doesn’t burn off most of this through flames and the like. Since you’re not using smoke for any of these, the toxins and the carcinogens that you have to worry about when you smoke just are there.

It’s very easy for a person to use. You just add the cannabis into there, choose the temperature, and then, as it gets vaporized, it gets in there, and then, after some hits, when you hit the right amount of components, you then simply take out the rest of the flower, in order to keep a fresh experience.

The Benefits of This

If you’re wondering why people do this, the answer is simple. It actually was found to be a good alternative to those who smoke, since there are people who would like to use flowers, but their immune system is bad, or they struggle with respiratory conditions.

Vaping doesn’t irritate your lungs as much, you’re not inhaling carcinogens, or even the toxins that happen when the plant gets burned, and it actually was found to be a way to improve the symptoms that are there.

They offer higher concentrations of various terpenes, cannabinoids, and the like. It was found that more and more of the cannabinoids were present within these symptoms for those who vaporized the cannabis, especially compared to those who smoked the flower itself. It’s a great option for those who want something stronger, and also, it offers higher value for a dollar.

It also keeps the integrity of these terpenes a whole lot better, offering a smoke that’s better, and more aromatic, and it definitely offers a fun flavor based on what the temperature is. The right setting of heat, and the correct buds offer a true flavor profile, especially for some cultivars. It’ll highlight the aroma and the flavor, which might’ve not been sensed when smoking this, and the materials of the plant.

It’s also a lot more discreet, and it can help with making sure people don’t notice that you’re smoking cannabis as well too.

Solutions to Why CBD Doesn’t Work for you

Have you tried to use CBD, but there’s no effect? You’re not alone. There are differences based on sex, age, even weight, which can impact this. Your natural physiology also plays a critical role in this too.A lot of people experience effects, but it can be disappointing when you don’t feel anything. You’ve researched it, and even chosen brands that offer the entourage effect, but there’s nothing.  However, you may have to solve it in different ways. Here, we’ll give you the best solutions for those who arne’t able to feel the effects of CBD, so you  can get some relief, and fast!

The dosage needs to be Adjusted

The oils themselves come in different concentrations, usually percentages.  Those that have different amounts usually also have some percentages that also account for carrier oils, the formulas, and even the terpenes. If you’re feeling nothing after trying one type of product, you may just have to go stronger. Getting something more concentrated is great too, since you can take the same amount, without having to worry about ingesting too much.

The dose is usually some kind of measured quantity. When you try CBD at first, those people who start with lower dosages to lower amounts need to try things out to see where they can find it.

You can also skip this by trying the CBD calculator for dosage, based on the body weight and the age range and the like. Try that, and then increase this until you’ve got the right spot for the dosage intact.

How you Ingest Matters

The method of ingestion also plays a part in this. Most people start with small drops, oral administration. This usually takes a bit longer for it to work, and it also has a much lower bioavailability that’s there. What this means is, you may actually not be getting enough CBD, especially if you pay a lot for this. If you notice that CBD isn’t’ working for you, consider trying to put it underneath the tongue rather than just into the entire mouth, as this gets directly into your blood capillaries, and it can generate a much stronger, and faster means of experience as well.

Look at Lifestyle

How your lifestyle is also plays a huge part in the effectiveness of CBD. This is especially true if you use fatty acid amide hydrolase, which is a protein that breaks down anandamide, which is otherwise known as the bliss molecule.  Through this, CBD is able to elevate those levels of anandamide, which play a big part in sleep, appetite, and also pain too.

Another way to increase this though is through exercise, as the “runner’s high” comes from this. Resistance training also can cause elevated anandamide levels after a few weeks. Your diet plays a part in this too. If you have a lot of fatty acids, those are precursors for the endocannabinoids. Anchovies, eggs, beef, chicken, and the like have a lot of anandamide. If you have a lot of kale, spinach, or dill, this inhibits your FAAH, so keep that in mind.

Remember as well to set your expectations in a healthy manner. Some people expect miracle cures through the use of CBD, but that’s not the case. It’s important to understand that it’s not a magic bullet, and it never will be something that you’re wanting to use.

If you’re someone who does have issues with CBD, you need to remember that it doesn’t work for everybody. It’s frustrating, but the lower you set your expectations the higher the chance of there being real effects.
