Factors and  Effects of Full-spectrum Extracts

Full-spectrum extracts are basically extracted with well, everything that you want to be included, included. This includes THC and CBD, but it also includes CBN and CBG, along with other important cannabinoids and terpenes, along with flavonoids too. A lot of them also contain other esters and proteins too, and it might be something that you want if you’re looking to get the full benefits of your cannabis consumption

The connection with the Entourage Effect

The best thing about this is that it’s actually something that creates the entourage effect. This basically means you’re getting compounds that work together to help you get the best experiences and benefits. Think about it like the main dish, but then the sides and the sauces and whatnot put together. This all comes together to create a great meal, right? Well, consider cannabis extracts to be like that with the entourage effect benefits.

They’re Hard to Extract

If you want to get full-spectrum extracts, you’re going to have to pay a bit more. If you’re going to make it on your own, these also are a bit expensive, since this is something that you want to make sure you harness with the compounds you can get, and you want to purge anything that’s not needed. With different techniques for refinement to help with this, it’ll strip those extracts and give you everything as well, including the flavonoids and terpenes. The refined ones do not.

There are certain extraction methods that are variable, and you may want to look into them if you choose to use this. Some of them also do use pretty dangerous chemicals such as butane, and it may not be advisable to do this.

The two most common are hydrocarbon and supercritical extraction of the CO2. For hydrocarbon, it basically uses a combination of propane and butane to create this, and it’s then cooled, made a liquid, and then the plant matter passes over this part. Then, the compounds that are desired get dissolved directly into your solution, and it can also be refined even more too.

With the latter, this is basically harvesting your plant, putting this into a temperature that’s super cooled to help freeze the compounds that are there. It also then makes it more gas-like in terms of the surface tension and the viscosity.  These adjustments also can help you get the most from this. The downside is this does call for a lot more equipment, but it doesn’t have as much post-processing as the other ways, and it’s a beneficial element compared to the latter.

You can always just buy them

The cool thing about this, is that if you don’t feel like getting super complex equipment or doing all of this yourself, you can always just buy them.

Full-spectrum extracts are best purchased from a store, since you can get it in a way that’s already proven to be trustworthy, and they’re usually approved through a third-party testing lab, and this offers high-quality products that help you get the most out of this.

You can get resin badder, which helps you get a high, or you can get live resin, which basically is put into a vape, and then you can vape this, so if you like that, you can do that. There is also terp sauce too, which is basically a sauce that’s runny, filled with terpenes, and it’s something that looks la bit like honey. Regardless of what you choose, these full-spectrum extracts are variable and it comes with a lot of great benefits to it too.

All about Broad spectrum CBD

Broad spectrum CBD is a product that doesn’t offer THC, but there are a ton of other great benefits in there including terpenes, flavonoids, other cannabinoids, and other parts of this, and it does create the entourage effect, but without using THC in the final products made. This is great for those who want to use this for therapeutic reasons that are similar to THC, or if you are trying to avoid it on drug tests but want to take something to help with problems.

What is it exactly?

This is basically an oil that contains most of the other material that’s in there, and also the other chemical profile you find in the hemp plant after it gets extracted. However, they further refine this to get rid of all of the psychoactive parts of this.

This is typically done in one of the following ways:

  • Solvent extraction
  • Steam distillation
  • CO2 extraction
  • Lipid extraction

This takes the oils, making them less than .005% of the THC in this, so this offers not THC, but it offers the benefits of CBG, CBN, CBGA, flavonoids, and terpenes, and this offers the best health benefits together, and is much better than if they’re isolated, and being able to make this work in a synchronous manner is considered the entourage effect as well.

When to use this

You’ll want to use this if you want to get the benefits of CBD while also not worrying about failing a drug test. This has trace amounts of it, but it’s so small it won’t be indicated on tests, so it’s perfect for people like that. Not just that, this is also good for those who have a sensitivity to THC, abut still wants the benefits of CBD from the cannabis plant.

How it Works

This works in virtually the same way that the other cannabis products that are out there work.  It does work with manipulating the endocannabinoid system, boosting serotonin levels, and also offering various beneficial effects that are different based on the chemicals which are within. They work directly with the system to produce it.

However broad-spectrum options are not psychoactive, so you will not feel the high that you might with THC, but it does offer a lot of the various compounds that are used to help with benefitting the body and the mind. As for the benefits, it can be used for a variety of different things, and there needs to be more evidence for some of these to have full conclusions.

However, it’s been found that currently, there is research which points to the fact that CBD is anti-anxiety, and it’s one of the biggest health benefits.

However, t also can be used for a variety of other conditions, including the following:

  • Arthritis and inflammatory conditions
  • Seizures and epilepsy
  • Mood disorders
  • Nerve and chronic pain
  • Sleep issues including sleep apnea, but also insomnia as well
  • Depression and anxiety
  • PTSD
  • Appetite problems

There is some research that does say it also may help with MS, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. The best thing about this, is that it is generally considered safe to use in almost all situations, and right now, there aren’t any major side effects of risks that come with this, so it’s worth looking at.

But, if you’re going to use this kind of product, always make sure that you don’t buy it from a seller that doesn’t have the credentials, and make sure that you can use it with certain medications as well before using.

Can I use Cannabis with Lamictal

Lamictal along with cannabis may be great for those who have epilepsy or other conditions that cause seizures. They both work together to sooth movements that are spastic, help to reduce inflammation, and balance the neurochemicals that are a part of seizures. But there are some drug interactions with this, so be mindful when you mix both of these.

What Lamictal is

This is basically branded lamotrigine, which is a medication that’s used to control or prevent seizures win the body. It’s considered off label for being an anticonvulsant, so it’s not directly approved by the FDA to help with this. It helps to work through the imbalance of the neurotransmitters which are responsible for not just seizures, but other kinds of epilepsy.

This is not approved for children under 2, since this can cause a rash that’s light threatening, especially when used too much. While experts don’t really know how it works directly, they theorize that it works with the nerve pathways, decreasing these, offering better signals towards the brain, slowing this activity, to help with treating various activities associated with seizures.

Those with epilepsy, lennox-gastuat syndrome, and tonic-clonic seizures can benefit from this. It does take a few weeks to work, and doses may start low to ensure that you can handle the side effects, raising them every couple of weeks till you get the ideal dosage.

Benefits and drawbacks of Mixing This

There are benefits to mixing Lamictal and cannabis, and this is depending upon the symptoms that you wish to seek. CBD is great for reducing signatures, and there are medications that are CBD focused, so if you have symptoms, this can help, and Lamictal can complement this as well.

CBD also does interact and prolong how long it’s in the body, and it can cause affects which are adverse. You should discuss how these react before putting it into the regimen of medications. It does work well in some cases of bipolar, but if you have some strains, it may cause paranoia, but others may help with anxiety and the like. As for risks, there aren’t any specific studies which show the interactions that may be adverse, but the problem is that there is not enough research there. it’s sedative, so it may increase if you’re taking more marijuana and the like. If you use these two together. It can increase both confusion, and dizziness as well.

If you have too high of a dosage of this, it causes rashes that are dangerous, which eventually lead to possible hospitalization, or even in some cases death if the rash is sever. This can clear up within eight weeks of starting treatment, but you also may want to add more cannabis until you figure out the safest response.

Cannabis when you take this with Lamictal does lead to confusion, dizziness, motor coordination issues, and drowsiness, and it can definitely be a problem for many. If you’re going to use dosages that are low, you should start with lower numbers, go slow, and take your time with this, as it can play a huge part of this.

Remember, Lamictal, like any drug, can interact, and it’s something that we don’t’ have enough studies of right about now, since cannabis is considered a schedule I drug.  If you’re curious about possibly using this, do be mindful of this, since it can sometimes increase the sedation, balance issues, dizziness, and confusion that comes with this, and you’ll want to discuss using tis with a doctor before you choose to go ahead and start taking this.

What CBD Is

While both CBD and THC are great for the body, there are other cannabinoids within, more minor ones, that are worth mentioning too. One of the most common of the minor cannabinoids is cannabigerol, or CBD, and while it’s not as prevalent as the other compounds, this is a powerful one. A lot of people use VBD to treat their mood, pain, and the different symptoms that are there. What’s the rundown surrounding it? We’ll go over that here.

What it Is

Cannabigerol, is basically a precursor in most cases to the different kinds of cannabinoids within this. Basically, it’s considered a mother cannabinoid, and without it, you’re not going to get THC. When a cannabis plant flowers, cannabigerolic acid, which is the acid form of the CBD that’s in this, is found in large amounts.

But, as there are more reactions within the plant and other chemical activities, this becomes the compounds that we’re familiar with, including THCA and CBDA, which then become CBD and THC, and usually, that happens when consumed. At this point, very little of this stays around as CBG.  So where does it originate from? Well CBGA is basically produced directly from the cannabis plant itself. It’s basically the parent to a lot of other different cannabinoids.

In a way, this is like the “stem cells” that are in our body. As the plant starts to grow up, the CBGa that’s produced in this does start to increase.  But then, when the sun hits this, causing UV light to be exposed to this, changes happen. Basically, enzymes within the plant crate the other cannabinoids within this. When you harvest the cannabis plant, about 1% or less of that is CBG or CBGa in most cases.

There are a few strains however that do get bred selectively in order to have larger numbers of CBG when it’s time to be harvested. This gets expanded, allowing for users to try out different cannabinoid blends in a simplistic manner.

The benefits

The cool thing about cannabis is that this is something that is still being studied, so we might find out more and more. But right now, there isn’t a ton of research on the benefits of CBD. There are some animal studies that CBG has, and a lot of promising results from this.  Some benefits of such include: – a natural antiseptic, antifungal, and antibiotic

Anti-inflammatory properties

Reduces blood pressure

Stimulates the bones and production

Inhibits the growth of tumors.

Is a natural antidepressant.

Can reduce intraocular pressure, to help those with glaucoma.

The cool thing about this, is that it’s also not psychoactive, unlike THC, and it’s very similar in most cases to the way that CBD does work in the body. It also can work to reduce the high that you get off THC, since both of them do utilize the same receptors. It’s a potential type of way for people to get the treatments that they want, without having to deal with the highest that come from this.It also might be good for gastrointestinal conditions, so for those that have colon inflammation, it works well.

It also may naturally stimulate the appetite, given that it’s something that can help you consume more food.

Compared to the control that was used in these experiments, for rats that consumed two times the amount of CBG, they were able to get more food, without worrying about their motor functions getting messed up.

It’s great for a lot of reasons and could be a potential beneficial compound for those with glaucoma, and right now, more studies are happening.

Solutions to Why CBD Doesn’t Work for you

Have you tried to use CBD, but there’s no effect? You’re not alone. There are differences based on sex, age, even weight, which can impact this. Your natural physiology also plays a critical role in this too.A lot of people experience effects, but it can be disappointing when you don’t feel anything. You’ve researched it, and even chosen brands that offer the entourage effect, but there’s nothing.  However, you may have to solve it in different ways. Here, we’ll give you the best solutions for those who arne’t able to feel the effects of CBD, so you  can get some relief, and fast!

The dosage needs to be Adjusted

The oils themselves come in different concentrations, usually percentages.  Those that have different amounts usually also have some percentages that also account for carrier oils, the formulas, and even the terpenes. If you’re feeling nothing after trying one type of product, you may just have to go stronger. Getting something more concentrated is great too, since you can take the same amount, without having to worry about ingesting too much.

The dose is usually some kind of measured quantity. When you try CBD at first, those people who start with lower dosages to lower amounts need to try things out to see where they can find it.

You can also skip this by trying the CBD calculator for dosage, based on the body weight and the age range and the like. Try that, and then increase this until you’ve got the right spot for the dosage intact.

How you Ingest Matters

The method of ingestion also plays a part in this. Most people start with small drops, oral administration. This usually takes a bit longer for it to work, and it also has a much lower bioavailability that’s there. What this means is, you may actually not be getting enough CBD, especially if you pay a lot for this. If you notice that CBD isn’t’ working for you, consider trying to put it underneath the tongue rather than just into the entire mouth, as this gets directly into your blood capillaries, and it can generate a much stronger, and faster means of experience as well.

Look at Lifestyle

How your lifestyle is also plays a huge part in the effectiveness of CBD. This is especially true if you use fatty acid amide hydrolase, which is a protein that breaks down anandamide, which is otherwise known as the bliss molecule.  Through this, CBD is able to elevate those levels of anandamide, which play a big part in sleep, appetite, and also pain too.

Another way to increase this though is through exercise, as the “runner’s high” comes from this. Resistance training also can cause elevated anandamide levels after a few weeks. Your diet plays a part in this too. If you have a lot of fatty acids, those are precursors for the endocannabinoids. Anchovies, eggs, beef, chicken, and the like have a lot of anandamide. If you have a lot of kale, spinach, or dill, this inhibits your FAAH, so keep that in mind.

Remember as well to set your expectations in a healthy manner. Some people expect miracle cures through the use of CBD, but that’s not the case. It’s important to understand that it’s not a magic bullet, and it never will be something that you’re wanting to use.

If you’re someone who does have issues with CBD, you need to remember that it doesn’t work for everybody. It’s frustrating, but the lower you set your expectations the higher the chance of there being real effects.

What Wax Pens Are

Wax pens are something that’s great for vaporizing different concentrates of cannabis and is great for different types of usages.

While it does take a bit of time to learn, if you’re someone who loves to use cannabis, and is willing to learn, this is a good way to vape it, without needing to invest in a dab rig. Learning how to utilize these and why you should consider them is really cool. It’s important to note though, if you’re going to buy one of these, always get them from dispensaries’. There are a lot of black marker pens that are dangerous to consume.

What they are and How they Work

Basically, they’re vapes that involve wax, and you consume this, or other types of concentrate. It can also include different dabs as well, and you don’t need a bong or anything super complex to use these.

They work similar to other types of vapes.

They each contain the following:

  • A battery to recharge
  • A chamber or otherwise called an atomizer to put the wax in
  • A coil or thing to heat up your concentrate
  • The mouthpiece that allows you to inhale that vapor

When you turn this on, or if you inhale this, the heating part of this starts to work, vaporizing those concentrates, and it goes directly to the mouthpiece. You inhale, and you get the cannabinoids there.

They do get hot though, hotter than a normal vape pen, and you should get into the habit of cleaning these so they stay useful and functional.

How you can use these

It’s pretty simple, but once you get it, you’ll probably want to just use this. The first step is to first and foremost, ensure that the battery is charged priority to using this.

Once this is charged up, take the pen cap off, open up your atomizer where it concentrates though. Put the wax in there but give it some room. Don’t just stuff it up. Put the chamber back, place the cap on top of it to close this. Press the power button, or inhale into this.

When you inhale, you might have to also press a button, but usually, once you’ve inhaled, you hold that directly into the long area, and then you let this out.  Put the cap back on top of this so you don’t have any concentration leaking

There you have it. Simple, right? One thing you have to make sure that you do, is to clean this up often, simply because it can get really gross, and sometimes, mold and bacteria get on there. If you don’t want that, which is actually dangerous, make sure that the concentrates are safe for you to put your lips on, and are clean enough for that too. Alcohol, a swag of cotton, and some war water is really all that’s needed in order to clean one of these guys.

The pros and Cons

This is something that’s a little bit tricky in order to provide upkeep that’s regular, and the correct functionality, but it also offers portable and flexible ways for concentrates.

Compared to say having a full-on dab rig and using a blowtorch though, this is so much easier, and it usually involves less trial and error.

You want to make sure that you keep in mind that these concentrates are super potent, and it’s something that can get you real high, real fast. If you’re an inexperienced user, perhaps wait until you’ve handled this kind of potency before you try to experiment with that sort of potency that’s there.
