Factors and  Effects of Full-spectrum Extracts

Full-spectrum extracts are basically extracted with well, everything that you want to be included, included. This includes THC and CBD, but it also includes CBN and CBG, along with other important cannabinoids and terpenes, along with flavonoids too. A lot of them also contain other esters and proteins too, and it might be something that you want if you’re looking to get the full benefits of your cannabis consumption

The connection with the Entourage Effect

The best thing about this is that it’s actually something that creates the entourage effect. This basically means you’re getting compounds that work together to help you get the best experiences and benefits. Think about it like the main dish, but then the sides and the sauces and whatnot put together. This all comes together to create a great meal, right? Well, consider cannabis extracts to be like that with the entourage effect benefits.

They’re Hard to Extract

If you want to get full-spectrum extracts, you’re going to have to pay a bit more. If you’re going to make it on your own, these also are a bit expensive, since this is something that you want to make sure you harness with the compounds you can get, and you want to purge anything that’s not needed. With different techniques for refinement to help with this, it’ll strip those extracts and give you everything as well, including the flavonoids and terpenes. The refined ones do not.

There are certain extraction methods that are variable, and you may want to look into them if you choose to use this. Some of them also do use pretty dangerous chemicals such as butane, and it may not be advisable to do this.

The two most common are hydrocarbon and supercritical extraction of the CO2. For hydrocarbon, it basically uses a combination of propane and butane to create this, and it’s then cooled, made a liquid, and then the plant matter passes over this part. Then, the compounds that are desired get dissolved directly into your solution, and it can also be refined even more too.

With the latter, this is basically harvesting your plant, putting this into a temperature that’s super cooled to help freeze the compounds that are there. It also then makes it more gas-like in terms of the surface tension and the viscosity.  These adjustments also can help you get the most from this. The downside is this does call for a lot more equipment, but it doesn’t have as much post-processing as the other ways, and it’s a beneficial element compared to the latter.

You can always just buy them

The cool thing about this, is that if you don’t feel like getting super complex equipment or doing all of this yourself, you can always just buy them.

Full-spectrum extracts are best purchased from a store, since you can get it in a way that’s already proven to be trustworthy, and they’re usually approved through a third-party testing lab, and this offers high-quality products that help you get the most out of this.

You can get resin badder, which helps you get a high, or you can get live resin, which basically is put into a vape, and then you can vape this, so if you like that, you can do that. There is also terp sauce too, which is basically a sauce that’s runny, filled with terpenes, and it’s something that looks la bit like honey. Regardless of what you choose, these full-spectrum extracts are variable and it comes with a lot of great benefits to it too.

What Aromadrene is

This is a sesquiterpenoid that’s natural, found in various mushrooms and some sour fruits too, which plays a huge part in anti-inflammatory parts of this, based on the entourage effect, which is great for managing pain that’s chronic, reduces cancer, and also is a natural antibacterial.  This also may help with THC passage through a blood brain barrier, and it smells earthy and woody.

How it works

This is one that does have a woody and earthy smell, and is found in a lot of eucalyptus plants, pineapple, guava leaves, and also cannabis oil. This is a sesquiterpenoid that has the molecular formula C15H24, which means that it has some other formulas similar to sativene as well. This is a more diverse kind of terpenoid out there.

For those who don’t know, terpenoids are those that have other kinds of functional groups, most of which contain oxygen and other benefits, which means that, while related to terpenes, they do have specific effects that differ from terpenes.

Terpenes are a subclass of this, and there are other subclasses too, and are made through the hydrolysis of other intermediates that are out there. How this works is simple. It’s got two major Things:

  • Exocyclic methylene that helps with antibacterial properties of stuff
  • The cyclopropane ring that does offer anesthetic properties, including the reduction of pain sensation

These two things are a part of different cannabis compounds.  For that reason, different terpenes do offer different smell and taste triggers, and most of these terpenes except for beta caryophyllene and atypical cannabinoids usually interact with the ECS.

While this doesn’t mean that every single terpene will affect your receptors in the same way, contributing to overall therapeutic benefits, in the instance of aromadendrene, it works with both dopamine and serotonin receptors, contributing to the release of such.

The benefits and Usages

This is used for a variety of applications, including:

  • Antibacterial reasons, since it does synergize well with cineole, another terpene, so it’s great for antibacterial functions
  • Reduces inflammation
  • Antioxidants
  • Reduces depression
  • Reduces instances of cancer, especially when it works together with beta-caryophyllene

The extract that comes from the leaves of this usually is found in different plants, including ndole, bitterleaf, ewuro, and onugbu, and they’ve been used in medicine traditionally for treating different skin problems including itchy skin, various allergies, and also ulcers which are chronic. It also offers other terpenoids and terpenes, along with some of the most common ones, alongside what aromadrene has as well.

Right now, it’s something that’s used typically in traditional medicine to help with irritation, pruritus, and also acne, and it’s a very popular compound in industrial products, including skin products, and perfumes too!

This is typically found in most cannabis plants too, and you can find this in other kinds of plants as well, including the eucalyptus plants, the peppermint plants, the spider flower, the roundleaf cancerwort, along with round-leaved fluellen, and also the sharp leaf cancerwort.

This is something that’s good for you to have, and it doesn’t seem to pose any harm when you consume it in cannabis, fruits, or veggies, however, if you do consume too much of this, or if you take too many oils, there is a chance that you may experience bad effects, including drowsiness, a cough that’s persistent, wheezing, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, skin irritations, sometimes chemical burns, and also irritation of the eyes and pain, especially if you consume large amounts, so be mindful of that, and only consume it in the plants that are safe to use.

Cannabis and Parkinson’s

Parkinson’s is a condition that’s degenerative along the nervous system. When cannabis affects these systems, scientists start to look into alternatives to reducing Parkinson’s symptoms. Here, we’ll discuss the research that surrounds cannabis and Parkinson’s.

First, what is Parkinson’s

This is a disease that’s degenerative, and quite debilitating. It affects about every 1 in 500 individuals, where the symptoms do get worse as time goes one, and it can make tasks including talking and walking super difficult. It can actually be something that affects both genders, with age being a major risk factor, with most dealing with this when they’re at least 60 years old.

While currently, there isn’t a cure, with the different therapies and treatments, there are some that work decently, others are more of a placebo. However, cannabis may be the best option for Parkinson’s treatment for a variety of reasons.

Why Cannabis

While there isn’t a ton of evidence to show that this is one of the best therapies to slow down or even reverse PD, some with the condition have had experiences which are positive just from cannabis. With the ultimate goal being management of the symptoms, reducing pain and stress, and improving your life quality, it makes sense that cannabis can help.

This, partnered with other therapies that work together such as yoga, speech and occupational therapies, meditation, acupuncture, and qigong and reiki all work together to offer a lot better results, and benefits that traditional medicine may not otherwise offer.

The thing with this, is that it’s something that can affect the CNS, and cannabis itself does help with the peripheral nervous system experiences, so it can help mostly with the management of the symptoms, rather than of course, fully mitigating the effects of PD on a person.

Cannabis and the body

Cannabis is something that can be explored quite greatly. Your ECS for example, which is a regulatory system that utilizes the cannabinoid receptors, different neurotransmitters, and other effects, can impact the CNS and the PNS, along other areas.

The ECS is something with various processes, such as memory, mood, sleep, appetite, and the dysregulation of this is something that can play a role not just in Parkinson’s, but also other neurodegenerative conditions.

Cannabis does activate these receptors, altering the activity within the body, and also influencing different aspects of this, and the interaction of this can have both direct and indirect effects.

There is some research that was done with this, along with the potential for these cannabinoids to play a part. Let’s start with a study from 2017. This one had participants look at the effects that medical cannabis has on the symptoms related to Parkinson’s, along with other effects which are adverse, done over a period of about three or so months. All of the data was collected subjectively, so it’s not full evidence of a correlation, but the participants did see some improvements, and many of them noticed that it’s a lot “safer” than other drugs.

In a review from 2020, it was found that cannabis was an effective alternative to the treatment of Parkinson’s, specifically the factors which “hamper” the use of this. This is of course, based upon 14 different studies, and there wasn’t a ton of evidence, but might work in the future.

What Microdosing THC Is

Microdosing THC is basically taking tiny levels of THC that offer therapeutic benefits, and you can take the smallest amount to feel the effects. Usually, this is used for anything, including THC, in order to offer the same benefits that are there. it also enables a more functional high for people. Typically, microdosing is used when discussing magic mushrooms and other psychedelics, and it can be used of medications related to cannabis too.

Benefits and conditions

There are some benefits that happen with microdosing that are worth looking at. Some of them include the following:

  • Lower chances of triggering anxiety especially for those sensitive to cannabis
  • Lower chances of vomiting and nausea
  • Lower chances for a psychotic episode.
  • Great for people who are sensitive to the compounds in THC to be able to get the pain relief that they need.

Sometimes, this works well for certain conditions too that are there. Some may be good for people who need to use it to help with problems but aren’t able to get the help that they need otherwise. Some conditions actually encourage you to get smaller amounts, rather than large numbers of THC in order to make it work. The is one that works well for certain conditions, which include the following:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • PTSD
  • Vomiting and nausea

It can offer a lot of relief for the long term without too much psychoactive making this hard for you to work with, so if you need something that’ll work for the long haul, then you’re in the right place.

Risks and Drawbacks

This can take a long time for some people to start doing. Alternatively, there is also the drawback of they may not get the full effects of the cannabis that they’re doing. Sometimes microdosing this is not enough for people.

Also, some people do develop a tolerance for this, as they may use it to help with chronic pain from both cancer and chemotherapy. However, for those looking to use it to temporarily fix certain conditions, this is one of the best that there is, and it’s one that, with the right steps undertaken, you’ll be able to use this to beat all sorts of problems that are there.

How to Start

The first thing is you want to start small. Some people use about 2.5mg of THC, or just a puff, and they feel the therapeutic effects from people. However, the big thing to understand is that with this method, sometimes the therapeutic effects get felt at a lower level, sometimes higher. You need to make sure that you’re mindful of the effects, and how you feel them when you start to microdose.

Try to start it with a tincture, as they usually are quite small. You can calculate this easily and effectively. For a lot of people, it’s better to microdose a tincture or even an edible than flower in a lot of cases, since the content is not always accurate or consistent. The big thing to understand is that you have to also factor in the percentages. Let’s say that you’ve got a strain that’s around 20% THC in it, then about 1000 mg of that will be THC, and then about 200 mg of that will be in a gram of this, provided that the THC content is about 20%. This can be hard to fully microdose, and the content also varies, so if you decide to do it this way, it’s a bit more of a challenge, but something you should be mindful about.

All about Broad spectrum CBD

Broad spectrum CBD is a product that doesn’t offer THC, but there are a ton of other great benefits in there including terpenes, flavonoids, other cannabinoids, and other parts of this, and it does create the entourage effect, but without using THC in the final products made. This is great for those who want to use this for therapeutic reasons that are similar to THC, or if you are trying to avoid it on drug tests but want to take something to help with problems.

What is it exactly?

This is basically an oil that contains most of the other material that’s in there, and also the other chemical profile you find in the hemp plant after it gets extracted. However, they further refine this to get rid of all of the psychoactive parts of this.

This is typically done in one of the following ways:

  • Solvent extraction
  • Steam distillation
  • CO2 extraction
  • Lipid extraction

This takes the oils, making them less than .005% of the THC in this, so this offers not THC, but it offers the benefits of CBG, CBN, CBGA, flavonoids, and terpenes, and this offers the best health benefits together, and is much better than if they’re isolated, and being able to make this work in a synchronous manner is considered the entourage effect as well.

When to use this

You’ll want to use this if you want to get the benefits of CBD while also not worrying about failing a drug test. This has trace amounts of it, but it’s so small it won’t be indicated on tests, so it’s perfect for people like that. Not just that, this is also good for those who have a sensitivity to THC, abut still wants the benefits of CBD from the cannabis plant.

How it Works

This works in virtually the same way that the other cannabis products that are out there work.  It does work with manipulating the endocannabinoid system, boosting serotonin levels, and also offering various beneficial effects that are different based on the chemicals which are within. They work directly with the system to produce it.

However broad-spectrum options are not psychoactive, so you will not feel the high that you might with THC, but it does offer a lot of the various compounds that are used to help with benefitting the body and the mind. As for the benefits, it can be used for a variety of different things, and there needs to be more evidence for some of these to have full conclusions.

However, it’s been found that currently, there is research which points to the fact that CBD is anti-anxiety, and it’s one of the biggest health benefits.

However, t also can be used for a variety of other conditions, including the following:

  • Arthritis and inflammatory conditions
  • Seizures and epilepsy
  • Mood disorders
  • Nerve and chronic pain
  • Sleep issues including sleep apnea, but also insomnia as well
  • Depression and anxiety
  • PTSD
  • Appetite problems

There is some research that does say it also may help with MS, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. The best thing about this, is that it is generally considered safe to use in almost all situations, and right now, there aren’t any major side effects of risks that come with this, so it’s worth looking at.

But, if you’re going to use this kind of product, always make sure that you don’t buy it from a seller that doesn’t have the credentials, and make sure that you can use it with certain medications as well before using.

Strains of Landrace Cannabis

For the last decade or so, cannabis went from being a drug that people thought was illicit, to an industry that’s booming, making billions of dollars. In the past, the consumption, holding onto, and even the growth of cannabis and hemp actually led to jail time, and major consequences. As legalization continues to move forward, things are finally getting better. Over 36 states are allowing medical usage of cannabis, and 16 of them offering adult use that’s legalized, and more and more dispensaries are making packaged items that are slowly the new normal.

With legality continuing to be a big part of this, there is now new changes to the industry. Cannabis infusion, especially in food and drink, different cosmetics and beauty products, you don’t have to just light a bowl and smoke some flower.

The industry progress is quite remarkable, and there is a lot of different strains are different from the original landrace kinds that were out there. While all cannabis can be traced back to the Hindu area of Pakistan and Afghanistan, they’ve made major changes, especially from migration and trading, and t’s become a super versatile item to grow, and it’s adapted to many different climates too, with the cannabis landrace strains being some of the first cannabis to be grown in multiple parts of our world.

Sativa origins

This is something that has multiple meanings, and it’s one that’s known for the energizing, uplifting, and highs that are creative in a sense.

This is also something that’s known for looking thin and tall, and it’s got wispy leaves. It’s traced back to southern climates that are warm, since the more sunshine, the temperatures that are warmer, and summers which are longer are helping to achieve the proper growth for a plant.

Indica Origins

Indica is something that isn’t seen around the globe, but it was found particularly in the mountainous regions of the middle east, especially Pakistan and Afghanistan. It can be said though that the origins of all cannabis come from indica strains here.

This one comes with leaves which are broad, a stature which is short, and flowers that are dense. It’s something that still actually is related to the place it got cultivated from, and today’s names still pay homage.

Terroir

This is a recent kind of strain of marijuana that’s recently shown up. It’s pretty much related to the Durban poison, Thai, and the Acapulco gold strains, and this is something that’s changed because of the different practices and environments that are specific to these locations and are influenced by the characteristics that are unique to this, and there is a certain appearance along with chemistry that’s particular to this.

This is something that’s kind of similar to the wines that you see, and this is basically similar to how alcohol strains have different characteristics, such as French wines having certain tastes.

Do landrace strains still exist?

Well, it wasn’t until people started mixing the Indica sativa strains together that hybrids came around. However, by creating this, it caused a plant to hold both of these strains, and it basically got rid of those characteristics that people don’t want from this.

In the current growing climate, hybrids are more of a norm than ever before. Rather than purely sativa or purely indica, a lot of consumers prefer the hybrid from the landrace types instead of just one that’s pure, and this is definitely something that’s cool. It does vary, and a lot of people like the options, but do note that you have a lot to choose from.

Can Cannabis Kill Cancer?

Some people have said that cannabis kills cancer. But does it? Here, we’ll talk about the research behind this, and whether or not it really is a cancer killer. Cancer killing is a vague term too, and something that not everyone truly understands. In this, we’ll look at reviews, studies, and the evidence that shows that cannabis does have properties that help to kill cancer.

Cannabis is something that potentially can kill cancer because it does something called apoptosis, which is automatic cell death, so it can stop a cancer from spreading and metastasizing to different bodily locations.

Does it work though?

Well, according to a study back in 2002, it was found that cannabinoids played a major role in survival and cell death, and some actually found that it does help with this through different functions.

These include:

  • Inhibiting the adenylate cyclase
  • Impacting the ionic channels
  • Stimulating the p38 nitrogen protein kinase, the c-Jun N terminal kinase, and the ERK enzyme.

These revelations did inspire other doctors and researchers to study the effects of this, and one of them even published within the journal the benefits of the cannabinoids for different cancer reasons.

The anti-tumor elements that are in this did showcase that there is a possible expectation of the different manipulations of these cannabinoid receptors, offering a therapy for a large range of different human diseases. However, the report was something that was simple, and it was a  classification of those receptors, not reviews of the properties that are there.

About a year after it was published, there was a study that was published, with various researchers that discovered that yes, cannabis might help with killing cancer. It’s also noticed that cannabis did help with inducing the apoptosis in different cell cultures of your gloma cells, so it was also found that it may not only destroy these cancer cells, but also protect cells which are healthy. It also is noted that cannabinoids kill this, and also may protect those transformed cells from their death too. We also can theorize too that this may also impact a person’s human health, and there is also specific evidence. One of them was a report made back in 2005, which discovered that it does inhibit the migrations of some of the glioma that’s there.

Another thing in this report was that it looked specifically at CBD to help with preventing the migration of these cancer cells. It was discovered that through a non-cannabinoid receptor and kind of mechanism, this offered concentration inhibition of the glioma cells too.

DALY CITY, CA – APRIL 18: Leaves of a mature marijuana plant are seenin a display at The International Cannabis and Hemp Expo April 18, 2010 at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California. The two day Cannabis and Hemp Expo features speakers, retailers selling medical marijuana smoking paraphernalia and a special tent available for medical marijuana card holders to smoke their medicine. Voters in California will consider a measure on the November general election ballot that could make the State the first in the nation to legalize the growing of a limited amount of marijuana for private use. (Photo by Justin Sullivan/Getty Images)

There is also another study that’s shown that these cannabinoids have this too, including a study that wsa done in 2006 on pancreatic cancer. The work, published in the Cancer Research journal, did focus on adenocarcinomas, and it was found that it did the following:

  • Caused apoptosis
  • Helped upregulate the ceramide levels
  • Increased the mRNA of different stress proteins.

This research then continues on into the 2010s too, where two studies discovered the anti-cancer benefits of this, and it was found that cannabis offered twofold effects on the cholangiocarcinoma cells. It was found that the lower concentrations actually offered anti=-invasion benefits to this, and fore those at higher benefits, it offered apoptosis, and also got rid of cancer cells.

It was also discovered in this that the CB2 receptors also can help with immunosuppression of your inflammatory response, which means that it reduces the responses that cancer may cause. The evidence for this is still being studied, but this is good for those who like CBD

Pain with THC Tinctures

Nobody’s enjoying pain whenever it happens, and it can keep you from really enjoying everything. In the medical world, pain is treated in a variety of ways, including NSAIDs, opioids, and other medications. But the problem is, there is a growing concern of the abuse and dependency of this, and most of them are seeking out safer alternatives. One of them is THC, and medical marijuana has been used to heat for millennia. Here’s a little more about it.

THC Vs. CBD

You may wonder about the medical benefits of the plant itself. It uses both THC and CBD to offer pain relief, and they do have a difference besides one of them getting you high. THC is something that helps with pain, and usually treats muscle spasms, low appetite, glaucoma, insomnia, anxiety, and nausea, and it’s used in a lot of cases for neuropathic pain.

This is something that’s good for pain from cancer, fibromyalgia, and eve AIDS. The side effects do happen with THC including issues with reaction, memory, coordination, appetite changes, mood changes, but these do vary, and they only last for a little bit compared to opiates.

CBD is of course those who want to relieve pain and is good for arthritis and inflammatory pain. it does help with pain relief from seizures nausea, mood disorder including anxiety, and also can help with inflammatory conditions too. It does have similar side effects such as drowsiness and dry mouth, but these tend to be a little bit less.

What’s better for Pain?

Both of these definitely work well, but it’s best to use both of these together. That’s because they work in sync with one another, and when put together, they do mitigate various side effects, improving the efficiency of this.

It also is good to use CBD for sedative ways, and it’s something that does offer a good way to also give you less anxiety. But THC is really good for a lot of severe pain, you just have to also use a bit more CBD in order to mitigate the effects of the pain if you’re struggling.

Types of Ways to Use This

There are different ways for you to use this kind of product, and it’s important that you get a feel for how you can benefit from it in order to get the best results possible out of all of this. Inhalation is good because it’s something that gives immediate and instant relief, which is good for pain relief that’s sudden and harsh.

You also have transdermal patches, which is where you put it on your body, feel the effects after 20 minutes, and it offers pain relief sometimes up to 72 hours. Topicals are similar but they involve oils and creams, offering the relief, but it doesn’t make you high. While it offers relief after a few minutes, this also lasts a long time.

There are also edibles, which are in the form of capsules, chews, baked items, and it is something that can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to work, but the effects can last about 4-6 hours, sometimes much longer. Finally, there is the best way for a lot of people, and that’s sublingual in tinctures, which are under the tongue, offering instant relief, and they’re some of the best ways to use this for pain relief.

Dosing this does vary by person, and the effects usually take hold a few minutes afterwards, and they can last hours as well. There’s lots of ways to get a bunch of benefits and relief from pain.

Do Marijuana and Adderall Work together

While there are some benefits that cannabis can offer to those who have ADHD, usually, the people who have this get drugs to treat this, and Adderall is one of the most common. They also may use this to reduce the impulsivity and focus.  The problem however, mixing this with anything can cause negative issues in a person, including weight loss, insomnia, and addiction. Some people may use it to replace the usage of amphetamines, managing the side effects that they have.

What Adderall Is

Adderall is a name that basically means mixed amphetamine salts.  This is basically four different amphetamine sales, which creates a 3:1 ratio between this, and it oftentimes is mixed with other smaller compounds. This is typically used for narcolepsy or ADHD and are effective in this. Other stimulants including Ritalin and Adderall are oftentimes used to reduce impulsivity, increase the focus, and help you get more done. Adderall does get prescribed in lower doses to reduce addiction, but it can even cause euphoria, sex drive reduction, more wakefulness, and it can definitely be something that increases dependence. This also can be used to improve athletic performance too, such as an appetite suppressant. It is sometimes misused because of this.

It is a stimulant of the CNS, and it can be something that increases the norepinephrine neurotransmitters, along with the dopamine one. It can also trigger the release of serotonin and epinephrine.  This does have other neuropeptides that are similar to cocaine.

Because ADHD is a disorder that involves issues with concentration, it definitely will remove the dopamine, and they’ll look for stimulation to boost this.  This can sometimes lead to abuse of substances and gambling, but Adderall helps with reducing the dopamine stimulation that constantly happens, and it usually is used to help mitigate this condition.

Benefits and drawbacks

Right now, mixing medication with anything should not be advised, but the problem, is that cannabis doesn’t have a really understandable legal status, so we don’t know how it interacts, and it is something that has hundreds of different cannabinoids and terpenes that are in a variety of different ratios, so one type will interact with something differently, especially cannabis.

Right now, we know that cannabis can possibly interact with various medications that are stimulant-based. The cool thing about cannabis is that it can help with the negative side effects that come from Adderall. These include the following:

  • Appetite loss
  • Weight loss
  • Stomach issues and pain
  • Dry mouth
  • Vomiting and nausea
  • Headaches
  • Dizziness
  • Fever
  • Diarrhea
  • Sleep issues
  • Nervousness

This is also good for vomiting, and it can naturally stimulate the appetite, reducing anxiety in the body as well.

There are also some benefits for those who are dependent on ADHD medication. This can improve the symptoms, reduce the usage due to the terpenes, and it can definitely help. Limonene strains for example, are great for the locomotor activity, so for those who are trying to get off it, it can help to reduce those behaviors.

Right now, there are risks.  It can possibly cause issues with metabolism of the drug in the liver.  There is also the fact that it can make you feel sleepy, cause issues with the heart and blood pressure and also may contribute to dental issues.  It also can definitely create a dependence disorder too if you’re not careful.

Finally, for those who are sensitive to this, they may start to feel very anxious, and it can definitely be a problem. Plus, this is best for those adults who have ADHD,, rather than a child who has it.

Medical Cannabis for Headaches

For a lot of people, headaches aren’t just mildly annoying, this can also be super debilitating too, making the idea of doing anything a herculean task! Headaches are common for a lot of people, and these include tension headaches, migraines, along with cluster headaches too.

OTC medications are super common for the treatment of this, but not everyone ill use OTC, but instead, they’ll go for something a bit more natural. There are ways for you to manage this, and you need to make sure that this is something that may work for you.

What are these medicines?

Basically, OTC medications are those that you get from the pharmacy. You pick these up and get them without needing a prescription. They’re usually in gel cap or tablet form, but some are liquid forms, and they’re virtually safe to use so long as you have this working based on what the label says.

Natural remedies are the alternative, also known as herbal remedies, typically from plants which are considered the basis of the traditional medicine.

The biggest difference is OTC are FDA approved, but the traditional and natural remedies are not. They have specific requirements and they do work based on the type of efficacy, and the reality that works for this too.

The most common ones for OTC to be used to tret headaches usually include:

  • Aspirin
  • Tylenol
  • Motrin
  • Advil
  • Aleve

These are all good for providing relief from pain from headaches, but they do some with a series of side effects. For instance, you may want to use aspirin, but it does cause gastrointestinal problems, and heartburn. Ibuprofen also causes issues with the stomach, nausea, vomiting, along with damage to the liver in the long term.

Not to mention, a lot of them cause allergic reactions.

While the FDA does say that they are effective and safe, the risks and the side effects are pretty low, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t there.

Medical Marijuana for Treatments

While the natural treatments include baths, water, and whatnot, one of the most popular means to ensure that your headaches are taken care of, is medical cannabis.

This can include pain and other problems.

Lots of people use cannabis to help with the treatment of both headaches and pain.

Currently, there isn’t a ton of research on this, and a lot are still using this as an alternative, but if you use this for a long period of time, it may reduce the frequency of the aches and it also doesn’t involve the same side effects that current medicines.

The problems ith the current headaches and marijuana is that currently, the legalization for this is a bit messy.

Because it’s still illegal federally, it’s not super easy to obtain, but some still do list it as a chance for you to get a medical cannabis card, so it’s worth considering.

Is it Better?

This is ultimately up for debate.

Medical cannabis does involve choosing the correct strains and the effects that come with this. If you don’t, you’re not going to be happy with this.

Another thing with this too though, is that it does eliminate the need for possibly using medical drugs and OTC medicines to work with this. This can reduce the chances of medical problems down the line, as the side effects that come with this definitely can be a problem.

If you have bad headaches, consider medical cannabis. It can do wonders for you, and it can help with a lot of problems that headaches are associated with, and it can make your life much easier too.
